Day 26 - At sea (5 December 2010)

"Today, Dawn Princess will continue her Easterly course towards Adelaide, taking us across the Great Australian Bight. Our ship has a "stockless" high holding power anchor and the flukes pivot allowing for better holding power. Each of Dawn Princess three anchors weighs in at 11 tons."

We had a beautiful sushi lunch buffet today.

I tried for the first time the Dicey Wooden Horse Racing and enjoyed listening to "Too sexy for my shirt" and "Mambo number 5" while registering my $3 bets. No luck on the races, but I stayed for the horse auction and I became the lucky owner of a German Horse for $190. I will have to feed him, train him and take him everywhere for the next two days. The auction raised a total of $1,160 and the final races will be on our last sea day.

Today is as well our fourth and last formal night. We were all invited to the Captain's Farewell Cocktail Party in the Atrium at 7pm. Lobster was on the menu for dinner and a Grand Atrium Gala Party at 10.45pm was organised with Brodband playing under a four-deck balloon drop.

Time change, once again we will turn our clocks forward 30 minutes this time.
